At the start of lockdown, I wrote this Spoken Word as a reminder to myself and others that Jesus provides an unfailing hope and will turn darkness into light...
Light out of darkness
Faith over fear
Easier said than done it seems.
In a world where confusion is our companion.
Where the streets are so quiet but our minds are so loud.
How can we HOPE, when all seems lost?
But I will look to the cross
Where he died for me
The one who calms the sea
The maker of the heavens and earth
Yet he loves you and me.
He gives us clarity in our confusion.
Peace when we are restless
And comfort in our hurting.
So why do I choose faith over fear
Because of just one name, Jesus.
For I know he is in control
And will never let us go.
He will turn darkness into light...
